Translation: I have done this Johan Schreiter - apprentice painter in Breslau (with date on top) 1644

Condition: slightly yellowed
The young artist is standing on one leg. This could symbolize his unstable life situation with an unclear future ahead of him. We have no report of the further whereabouts of this young artist who started his career in the difficult time during the 30 Years’ War.
