I am greatful to Dr. Wieland Barthelmess, a scholar of paintings of the Berlin School second half of the 19. th century for this attribution.
Basedow was a pupil of Eugen Bracht (1841 -1921) at the Berlin Academy and finished his studies the Academy of Karlsruhe. From 1896 on he was a member of the “Berliner Secession”
