Well preserved
Krafft was a pupil of the portrait painter Wilhelm Ternite (1786
-1871) at the Academy in Berlin, who considered him as one of his
best pupils. In 1834 he went to Düsseldorf to continue his studies
under Wilhelm von Schadow (1788 – 1862).
Most likely he left Düsseldorf for Vienna in 1850. He often
exhibited in the Akademische Kunstausstellung Berlin and was
mentioned in the catalogues for the following years: 1828 page 68;
1830 page 32; 1832 page 31; 1836 page 120; 1844 page 47.
